The Augsbury/North Country Scholarship was established in 1974 and serves to recognize academic and co-curricular leadership among designated North Country and Canadian high school students. The $128,000 scholarship ($32,000 per year) is awarded to up to two nominated students from each eligible high school. Students who are nominated and admitted to St. Lawrence, but not selected as scholars, will receive an $100,000 scholarship ($25,000 per year) to recognize their nomination.

Counselors at participating schools may nominate up to two students annually; each student must have a grade point average of 90 or higher.

Xerox Award for Innovation and Information Technology ($10,000 per year)

A strong interest in innovation or information technology, and a high level of achievement in this area

• Exposure to new technologies outside of school, such as pursuing serious work opportunities in local laboratories or industry
• Leading other students to new approaches to old problems; business plans for fundraising; innovative community service; after school activities; and best uses of communication tools such as chat and blogs
